Since its inception in 1997, the Fender Catalina Island Blues Festival has grown both in size and stature and is regarded by local and national media as a “must see” for music fans of all ages. The festival is able to attract the world’s top artists – from the legendary to the hottest up-and-comers. Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Taj Mahal, Paul Rodgers, Double Trouble, Edgar Winter, Susan Tedeschi, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Honeyboy Edwards, Koko Taylor, Tommy Castro and the Fabulous Thunderbirds are just some of the talent that have graced the festival’s stages. The island comes alive when the festival kicks off with the ever-popular Blues Walk throughout Avalon.
