Our Plaid Oasis, featured in our Hawaii cotton fabrication, was inspired by the traditional Hawaiian palaka. “ Palaka” literally means plaid in Hawaiian, and also references the cotton twill plaid fabric associated with the historic sugar plantations here in Hawaii.We have simplified and modernized the plaid pattern of Plaid Oasis, and also incorporated embroidered palm trees to articulate another iconic Hawaiian element. To keep the shirt cool and comfortable, we printed the pattern in our light weight cotton, and then added contrasting details at the inside neck, yoke and side seams.
