We're partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii by providing mask donations to Bigs & Littles and their families during this difficult time period.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization plays a critical role in the community by matching socially and economically disadvantaged kids with volunteer mentors throughout the islands. The work they do is instrumental in supporting these children and their families with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

This is especially important during the current economic climate where unemployment in Hawaii is estimated to be as high as 35%.

WHY ARE MASKS NEEDED?

Many of the children and families who take part in Big Brothers Big Sisters either don't have access to or don't have the means to secure needed masks. These masks are critical for even basic outings to the grocery store, doctor, etc.

Furthermore, as restrictions are loosened, these masks will help Bigs and Littles continue safe social distancing match activities. Regular match activities and outings were a key component of the program prior to COVID-19 and make a big difference in the mentorship relationship. Both Bigs and Littles are anxious to restore this key element in a safe and measured manner.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization is providing care packages to all members during this crisis and the Reyn Spooner mask donation will be included in each package along with other items like headphones for virtual meetings.
