Q&A with Zhen Sotelo
Zhen Sotelo is a senior captain at the University of Hawai'i and a respected leader both on and off the field. A true Rainbow Warrior, Zhen has spent his entire college career at UH, setting the standard through consistency, commitment, and leadership. We recently caught up with Zhen to reflect on his career at UH and what he’s looking forward to at the Hawai'i Bowl.

RS: How does it feel to cap off your UH career with a trip to the Hawai'i Bowl?
ZS: It’s a privilege and an honor to be a part of a cornerstone team that has changed the trajectory of this program for the better. As a senior and captain of this team it’s truly a blessing to be able to represent Hawai'i and play for the home team. The Hawai'i Bowl is made for us. This is our game and now is another opportunity for us to prove it.
RS: When you look back at your time at UH, what are you most proud of?
ZS: I’m most proud of the bonds and relationships I have made over my time at UH. The BRADDAHHOOD is based on synergy and love for one another and I’m proud to say I was a part of building it.
RS: What does it mean to represent Hawai'i and play one last game at home?
ZS: It means the world to me. Born in Hawai'i, raised in Hawai'i, play for Hawai'i. This is what I believe in and what I stand for. Playing for Hawai'i has always meant more to me than most because it has been an opportunity to represent my family name in the home state.
