To measure your garment, make sure it is buttoned all the way up (if applicable) and laid as flat as possible on it's back with the side seams aligned to get the most accurate measurements.
Chest: Measure from about 1 inch below the bottom of the armpit of the front of the shirt across to the other armpit and double the measurement.
Waist: Measure across the front of your shirt, about halfway between the armpit and hem of the shirt (approximately 18 inches from the shoulder) and double the measurement.
For shorts, measure across the front of the waistband and double the measurement.
Neck: Unbutton your shirt and measure inside the collar band from the center of the first button straight across to the edge of the button hole. Try to keep the collar taught so the curves are straight while measuring.
Inseam: Measurement of the leg length from the center of the crotch to the bottom hem.
Length: Measure from the top shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem of the shirt.

But if you really examine the value of these totes, they’re incredible. We own two. They’re large enough to handle multiple beach towels, sturdy enough to handle provisions (ok, beer - lots of beer, but still. ) There are multiple pockets to keep things organized and they look great in any setting. Want to turn grocery shopping into a mini vacation? Bring this tote. Want to turn heads at the little league game? Bring this tote. Want to draw the respect of Captains and crew or everyone on the dock? Bring this tote. It may not win respect but you can fill it with bribes, trade-goods, foul weather gear or snacks.
