Rayon shirt for high humidity?

"Like the pattern but am a fan of spooner kloth, not rayon. But someone told me that rayon is great in high humidity areas like washington dc where I am going tomorrow. I am bringing this shirt and see how it works in the humid heat riding the metro. Other pluses. the shirt is light weight. can be washed in a bathroom sink and may even work as a temporary raincoat in the sudden thunderstorms that appear there."
