Origins of a Classic

In 1959, President Eisenhower signed a proclamation admitting Hawai'i into the Union, officially becoming the 50th State in the United States. This print celebrates Hawai'i and our state flower, the pua aloalo (hibiscus). Before being named the official state flower, the pua aloalo was recognized as the emblem of Hawai'i and represented royalty, joy, and respect.

The Green Wave Crashes Spooner U.

"The Tulane Green Wave do not have a shirt in the Spooner University collection. However, Super Swells does just fine. I wore this to the season opener at Duke and was comfortable at the Alumni Tailgate with high humidity and temperatures in the high 90s. Then storms rolled through, the game was delayed 90 minutes, temperatures and humidity dropped and I was comfortable throughout the game - if not with the final result. Like all Reyn Spooner shirts, the workmanship is excellent, the fit is superb, and the customer service is unmatched."

"These shirts have become very inconsistent with sizing. Never know if it will be leaning to a modern cut or a classic as advertised. A real change over the past (been buying for 40 years). I also ordered the Ginger Burst in this shipment- totally different fit. 🤷‍♂️"

Nice print, but don't like the new fit

"The print and color are great, but it why is that whenever you find a good thing, they go and change it so it's no longer as good? I have three older button-front Spooners and loved the fit of them. I'm not sure how they changed the button front fit, but the new fit is somehow off. I think the bottom is maybe narrower and it's maybe a bit longer? Not good. I won't be returning for more unless they decide to offer the old fit as an option."

"Nothing NOT to like about this shirt. It's beautiful fabric with a floral Hawiian print , and a nice fit for my 6'4" husband,. Almost my favorite thing, though is the way the fabric of the front placket and pocket a perfectly matched to the to the shirt itself. Nicely made, just the way I'd do it if I was the seamstress."

"Love the pattern and the tailored version fits my slim build. The fifth star is not assigned because the tailored style is a little short but wearable for my longer torso. Reyn Spooner should consider adding another inch or two to the length to make these shirts more comfortable to wear for taller people."

Instant Classic with Great Pumpkin

"Reyn Spooner is back with an instant classic in It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The art on the shirt is spectacular. The placement of the scenes and colors blend perfectly together. In fact, the pictures online really do not do the shirt justice. It is much nicer when you have the shirt. The fit has returned to Spooner form. If you are fan of The Great Pumpkin or of Charlie Brown(or just Great Aloha shirts) do not pass this one up."
