Description

Archive print, 1983. One of our most iconic prints, Newport Sailor celebrates classic American nautical heritage. Inspired by motifs known for their popularity and association to the America's Cup, Newport Sailor features the original 1851 yacht, America, the New England sea gull, the pineapple (a sign of hospitality), the 13-star Union Jack and the Castle Hill lighthouse at the entrance to the Narragansett Sound in Rhode Island, all framed within an early Americana geometric quilt layout.

"This shirt is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are beautifully muted and the fabric is soft and comfortable. I always need a pocket to carry tissues so I ordered size Small (in women’s sizes I wear size large). Reyn Spooner shirts are so wonderful because their shirts do not wrinkle. The shirts wash easily, and I place in dryer for just 5 minutes, take out and shake, place on a hanger, and no ironing is necessary. Low maintenance laundry care. I can tell I will have this shirt last for a long time. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you!"

Wonderful Shirt

"I really like the print but my grandchildren love it! We live in southwest Florida so short sleeve shirts are the norm for the Christmas season…these shirts let boys be boys but are stylish enough for Mom. As someone who sews… quality of the fabric, the way the prints line up, and the attention to detail make the shirts worth the price. The only thing that I struggle with is that my 10 year old grand had to go up to an adult xxs for $135. pretty pricey shirt for a 10 year old."

"It is a beautiful shirt and well-made. It’s my second rain Spooner and I bought the same size as my first shirt which fits perfectly however, the second shirt the same size is smaller and slightly too tight.
