Don’t Trust the Care Label

"The dress is adorable and the cotton-blend fabric feels high quality yet lightweight enough for Hawaiʻi weather, even with it being lined. The adjustable length straps (with two button options) are nice for different torso lengths, and it even has pockets. I bought this premium priced dress for an upcoming event, and felt I should wear it for a couple date nights to get a better “price per wear”. Unfortunately, on my first night out I spilled down the front center stripe and it needed to be laundered. I followed the instructions on the care label exactly (cold water, delicate cycle, washed alone, hung to dry overnight), but the blue dye bled badly into the white floral pattern. The once crisp white flowers are now blotchy and look like a dull denim tie dye. I’m incredibly disappointed that such an expensive dress didn’t hold up to basic laundering and now I have a far less beautiful dress for the event. This was my first and last time shopping with Reyn Spooner. Pictures of when I first got it vs after washing"
