1962 CLASSIC PAREAU ALOHA SHIRT

A true crown jewel from the Reyn Spooner archive. Originally introduced in 1962, Classic Pareau was one of the very first aloha prints sold through Reyn's Mens Wear, years before Reyn Spooner became the brand collectors know today.

This extraordinary piece still features the original Reyn's Mens Wear neck label from the era when the stores operated in Honolulu and Catalina. The fabric is believed to have come from Alfred Shaheen's legendary textile mill, placing it at the very beginning of Hawai‘i's golden age of aloha shirt design.

What makes this shirt truly exceptional is its condition. Nearly 70 years later, it remains in remarkably pristine, near-mint condition—a rarity for a garment of this age. The colors remain vibrant, the fabric retains its structure, and the shirt has been beautifully preserved, showing only the subtle character that comes from the passage of time.
