Description
A true archive piece from 1972, this original Banaras print captures an important chapter of Reyn Spooner's design history. Inspired by traditional woodblock textiles from Northern India, the intricate floral micro print has remained one of our most beloved patterns, returning in various forms over the past five decades.
This shirt showcases the unmistakable long-point 1970s collar and the soft hand only decades of wear can create. Gentle fading, natural patina, and two small period repairs beneath the arm and along the side seam speak to a garment that has been worn, cared for, and preserved—not recreated.
Every mark tells part of its story. There will never be another exactly like it.
